Behind every long-lasting, high-performing solar system is one thing most people never see — the mounting system.
When mounting is done correctly, the system lasts 25+ years. When it’s done poorly, you get leaks, structural damage, wind uplift failures, insurance claims, and unhappy clients.
This course was built to change that.
Whether you’re brand new to solar installation or an experienced installer wanting to sharpen your professional edge, Solar PV Mounting Systems gives you the practical, real-world skills that separate basic installers from trusted professionals.
You won’t just learn what components to use — you’ll understand why, where, and how to install them correctly across different roof types and environments. From tile and metal roofs to ground mount structures, we break down mounting into clear, step-by-step processes you can apply immediately on site.
We also focus heavily on what most courses skip:
- Working safely at heights
- Understanding roof structures
- Wind and load considerations
- Waterproofing principles
- Preventing the common installation failures that cost time, money, and reputation
This is not theory-heavy classroom training. It’s practical, field-based knowledge drawn from real installation experience — the kind that protects roofs, protects systems, and protects your name as an installer.
By the end of this course, you won’t just know how to mount panels.
You’ll know how to install mounting systems confidently, safely, and professionally — the way the industry expects and clients trust.

This module establishes the core technical foundation for Solar PV installers.
It covers the physics of primary energy, the mathematical governing laws of electricity (Ohm’s and Kirchhoff’s), and the specific behavioral characteristics of PV modules via I-V Curves.
The module culminates in a critical comparison of AC/DC system architectures and high-stakes safety protocols.
